Enterprise Integrations

Enterprise Integration is a technical field of enterprise architecture, which focuses on topics such as system interconnection, electronic data interchange, product data exchange, and distributed computing environment.  In laymen’s terms, It getting your enterprise software to work together. Often people will need the same data in two different systems, such as making sure that your customer list in CRM software matches the customer list in ITSM software. Sometimes an incident is raised in ITSM that must be worked by the software team, so that incident needs to be populated as a defect or feature in software development systems, such as Jira. Another use for enterprise integration is to collect information from multiple sources to make it visible in the CMDB. Perhaps IT assets are discovered by software but need to be synchronized to the CMDB.
